John Oshei a senior Political Science and History major and member of the UB Honors College, will present a power point leture uncovering the great events in which Kosciuszko participated alongside his personal life to fully illuminate the life of "the hero of two continents."

To both modern and  contemporary historians the journey of Tadeusz Kosciuszko(1746-1817) stands out as one of the most extraordinary in early modern history.  An intrepid warrior and student of the Enlightenment, Kosciuszko played critical roles at the head of American and Polish revolutioinary armies.  Knowing battles, kings and great deeds given us an accurate understanding of the past but we feel closer to me like him when we know how they acted, what they wanted to pass on and what has  survived them.

A social  hour with refreshments will follow. The event is free to members and open to the public a $5.00 donation to non members. Additional information is available by calling Chuck Peszynski at (716) 631-3717
