These are exciting and challenging times for the Polish Arts Club of Buffalo, Inc.  On June 1, 2016, we began a campaign to raise $200,000 to create a Permanent Fund named for Aleksander and Valentine Janta.  The idea for the Endowment Fund was initiated by Mrs. Valentine Janta whose husband Aleksander was President of the Club from 1949 to 1951.

To assist in this effort Mrs. Janta provided a gift of $100,000 as a Matching Grant.  This money has been deposited in the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo.  This means that in order to keep the $100,000 dollars we need to raise $100,000.  Every dollar we raise for the Endowment Fund is doubled.

The proceeds of the Endowment Fund are to be used to:

  1. Stage and or promote the staging of plays in the Buffalo and Western New York region in English, or English translation, by Polish or Polish-American playwrights from  both sides of the Atlantic at colleges and universities and
  2. Invite distinguished writers, poets and playwrights who speak English to give lectures and readings at appropriate venues in Western New York.

This year, 2020, marks 75 years since the founding of our beloved Polish Arts Club.  As lovers of Polish arts and culture, we hope you will be pleased about an opportunity to invest in celebrating Polish culture for years to come.

Please join us as we celebrate our 75th Anniversary by contributing to the Aleksander and Walentyna Janta-Polczynski Endowment Fund.  Your support will help us provide quality programming for another 75 years and beyond!
